Bubble tea, tea houses, Asian bakeries and dessert shops in this group are usually walk-in, counter-order businesses with a menu board overhead listing sweetness and ice levels you can adjust when ordering. Standard bubble tea customization includes sugar level (0-100%), ice level, and a choice of toppings like boba pearls, pudding or jelly, usually at a small extra charge. Asian bakeries sell items individually with tongs and a tray, cafeteria-style, rather than pre-boxed, and pastries are typically less sweet than Western bakery items. Santa Ana is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Santa Ana follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

First time for trying their cakes, but gotta say, their weekend only Croissant selections are sooo authentic. Fresh, fluffy and flavorful. Back to the cakes, we have taro and Black Forest(so many choices), way above average and can tell the true bakery soul. Moisture, no headache sweet, the cream is just so right. Need to digest the impulse sugar cravings, till next time, will try more.

Bakery 101 is the absolute best bakery in OC, no contest. Cakes are flavorful, not too sweet, well balanced, and they use high quality ingredients, mascarpone and fresh cream, not that canned stuff. Wife & husband owners are super sweet. Wide variety of cakes, from slices to 10" rounds to full sheets, for all occasions. Their specialty flavor cakes are delicious - my personal favorites are taro, pandan, carrot cake, and strawberry roll cake.

Love the cakes here! I got a Yule log (BΓ»che de NoΓ«l) cake this time for Christmas and it was a hit. Very beautiful cake and it was delicious, not too sweet. The decorations were cute, too. Only thing I wish is that the decorations were edible haha.

I had the delightful triple berry cake and absolutely loved it! You do have to order this cake ahead of time as they don’t regularly have it in their cake case. Whipped cream, soft and fluffy chiffon cake and then plenty of strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries…mmm perfection! I also love how this is a locally owned, mom and pop sort of place, I love supporting the local community. They usually will have a selection of whole cakes and cakes slices at any time, but on the weekends they seem to have a bigger selection of cakes and then these croissant too! Such a pretty croissant and the cream filling was so good and the croissant so flaky.

I was looking for something different to take to my family's Easter gathering this past Sunday and the variety at this small bakery hit the spot. I bought an assortment of almost everything they had in the cold selections. It was all well packed and delicious! My family enjoyed it all, including the baked goods I bought on the side. Keep in mind it's a small mom and pop, so you may need to wait a bit if there are multiple customers in the bakery. Fortunately, they offered me a pineapple pastry that was freshly baked to eat while I waited. πŸ˜‹ I highly recommend the Raspberry and chocolate souffle. It was really good! I'll definitely be back and also pick some up for the team back at work. There is a nice patio outside Incase you want to enjoy your treat and/or coffee right away!
